2024 T3 contains a large amount of CU,aluminum coil for aircraft with heat resistant high strength, custom size. Aluminum coil 2024 alloy grade was registered by the United States in 1954. The density is 2.85 g / cm3 and the temperature is higher than 125 ℃. The strength of 2024 alloy is higher than that of 7075 alloy. The forming performance is better in the hot state, annealing and new quenching states, and the heat treatment strengthening effect is significant, but the heat treatment process is strict. Poor corrosion resistance, but covered with pure aluminum can be effectively protected; cracks are easy to occur during welding, but special processes can be used for welding and riveting.
It is widely used in aircraft structures (skins, skeletons, ribs, bulkheads, etc.), rivets, missile components, truck wheel hubs, propeller elements and various other structural parts. T indicates that heat treatment is performed.
“T”is usually followed by one or more digits, such as T3, indicating that T3 heat treatment has been performed. Different numbers represent different heat treatments.T3 is the most typical temper in 2024 alloy aluminum coil.
